Energy Awareness Program (EAP)

Magnolia River has developed and implemented an engineering-based Energy Awareness Program (EAP) at multiple Army installations. The program provides a process driven approach (smart meter measurement and feedback), rather than the common marketing approach. Magnolia River’s program was originally developed for large commercial manufacturing entities more than five years ago. In the last two years it has been recalibrated to the specifics of Army installations and involves energy awareness, building energy management, advanced metering, utility analysis, and energy auditing. The program could be easily implemented at any installation or site as well as manufacturing facilities, industrial sites, and on campuses.

Natural Gas Engineering, Mapping, Spatial Analysis & Inspection

Natural Gas Engineering, Mapping, Spatial Analysis & Inspection

Magnolia River has been providing engineering, mapping, spatial analysis and inspection services to Alagasco for over 10 years. Alagasco serves nearly half a million gas customers across the state of Alabama.

Natural Gas GIS Inventory

Natural Gas GIS Inventory

In 2008, Magnolia River was contracted to provide a complete GPS data collection and GIS mapping survey of natural gas on Anniston Army Depot (ANAD). The project was followed by a complete GPS data collection and GIS mapping survey of all compressed air lines within ANAD.

Natural Gas, Water & Steam Turn-Key Infrastructure Replacement

Natural Gas, Water & Steam Turn-Key Infrastructure Replacement

Magnolia River has been tasked by Chugach Management Services, Inc. (CMSI) through the Redstone Department of Public Works (DPW) to perform various infrastructure improvements, GPS & GIS mapping, and modeling of utilities. The work is being tasked through a multi-year Purchase Order Contract.

Planning Using Aerial Photography

Planning Using Aerial Photography

Magnolia River was contracted to provide color aerial photography, digital planimetric and topographic mapping, and color orthophotography for a proposed building site expansion located on the Oakwood University campus, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)

Resource Efficiency Manager (REM)

Team MCFA was awarded a multi-year, IDIQ contract through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers–Huntsville District to provide Resource Efficiency Managers (REMs) at Army installations nationwide. The REM program focuses on energy savings, energy demand reduction, and renewable energy solutions. Magnolia River was successful in winning a contract and placing a REM at Carlisle Barracks in October of 2009.

Sustainable Infrastructure Mapping Initiative Water Systems

Sustainable Infrastructure Mapping Initiative Water Systems

In 2007, ADH noticed the need to help small water systems map their infrastructure. ADH successfully proposed the rural water mapping system idea to EPA and put the project out for bid. Magnolia River submitted a bid on the project and successfully developed and proposed a four-step process for mapping the water systems.

Utility Capacity Study & Energy Awareness Program

Utility Capacity Study & Energy Awareness Program

Magnolia River provided the Utility Capacity Study (Electric, Water, and Wastewater) and phase I of an Energy Awareness Program. The Utility Capacity Study was completed and submitted in July 2010, while the first phase of the Energy Awareness Program was delivered in September 2010.
