Accelerating field data capture while strengthening the data integrity and traceability gas utilities rely on.
Our latest FieldLogIQ release introduces enhancements that help utility construction and inspection programs capture field data faster and with greater confidence in its accuracy.
While this update spans the entire application, two advancements stand out for utility operators: new batch entry capabilities that accelerate field documentation and live data validation that ensures the completeness and accuracy of the records your compliance and traceability programs rely on.
Batch Entry: Faster, More Consistent Field Documentation
This release introduces batch entry capabilities that streamline how field teams document high-volume work like pipe installation and material tracking.
Batch Entry (Pipe Tally): The new grid-style entry interface streamlines the pipe tally process, enabling crews to quickly and accurately receive and record incoming pipe. This is especially valuable for steel jobs, as it provides a single, structured workflow.
Batch Scan Materials: A multi-scan capability lets field users capture multiple materials at once, supporting accurate ASTM material tracking and traceability with less manual effort.
Expanded Batch Editing: More fields are now available for batch editing of meters, pipe materials, and valve materials, giving teams greater control over bulk updates while maintaining record accuracy.
These tools reduce manual documentation time and help ensure field records stay complete, consistent, and audit-ready across your projects.
Live Data Validation: Built-In Quality Assurance
A new Review section within Project Stats brings live data quality and validation directly into the project workflow, helping teams identify and resolve data issues earlier.
Project Stats now presents project health across four areas: Progress, Quality, Activity, and the new Review. The Review section automatically evaluates project content against expected data requirements and surfaces validation results across content types and materials, including steel. For utility operators, this means greater assurance that the data supporting compliance documentation, as-built records, and traceability is accurate and complete before it advances downstream, reducing rework and strengthening audit readiness.
A Refreshed, More Intuitive Interface
The Home, Daily, Project, and Menu views have a visual refresh for a cleaner, more consistent experience across field and office users. This release also adds a Dark Mode option under App Settings and streamlines navigation on mobile devices so common actions are quicker to reach in the field.
Search Across Every Project
A new Search capability lets users locate data across all projects from a single location, making it easier for project managers and stakeholders to find records quickly without navigating project by project. Users can also opt in to email notifications to stay informed of project activity.
A Streamlined Project Workspace
The Project workspace is reorganized for faster navigation and more efficient project management:
Project editing is now accessible directly from the header, with key actions repositioned for quicker access.
Project details can be collapsed or expanded for a cleaner view.
Worker management is consolidated with a global worker list that can be filtered by contractor and searched by name, simplifying crew tracking across projects.
Project favorites can now be pinned to the top of the list and accessed quickly when moving between active projects.
Expanded Field and Compliance Capabilities
Several enhancements expand what teams can document and track to support compliance and traceability:
Restoration Cut: A new tile with a dedicated form, calculations, and map view for documenting restoration activity.
Pressure Test – Gas Up Materials: New support for documenting gas up materials associated with pressure tests.
Seam Verified Field: A new field on steel pipe materials, updatable directly from the Install Segment tool, supporting more complete material records.
Saved Custom Filters: Frequently used filters can now be saved and reused, helping teams surface the data that matters most.
In-App PDF Viewing: Attachments can now be viewed as PDFs directly in the web application.
An Expanded Dashboard for Program-Level Visibility
On the web and on larger screens, the Dashboard is expanded into organized, tabbed sections: Insights, Analysis, Trends, Data, and Projects, providing leadership and program stakeholders with a clearer view of performance across the organization. This release also introduces a Program Report within the Dashboard to support program-level oversight and reporting.
Moving Forward
FieldLogIQ, developed by GeoCurrent, the technology division of Magnolia River, is a GIS-based inspection and data management platform for utility pipeline construction and inspection programs. This release reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering technology that helps utilities capture field data faster, trust its accuracy, and maintain the visibility and traceability their programs require.
